April 8-11, 2011 Steve and I traveled to New York City to visit his family and see the sights. It was my first time in NYC, so naturally I took A LOT of photos.

We drove across New York and then headed south at Syracuse, stopping in Cortland for lunch. We then proceeded through Pennsylvania because we didn't want to deal with New York tolls. It was a very hilly and scenic drive.

We then cut through New Jersey and went over the George Washington bridge on our way to his grandma's house in New Rochelle just outside of the city.

His grandma prepared a HUGE dinner for us. Seriously, 8 porkchops for three people. Steve ate three of them. 0__0 There was also green beans, asparagus, salad, a hash brown potato dish, and dessert! I had a feeling there would be dessert, so I paced myself. Steve's grandma kept urging Steve on saying the meat was cut thinly. I was amazed at his ability to power through the meal.

This is what was LEFT.

In the morning we called a taxi to take us to the train station. It would be my first time on a train!!!

The train ride took about 30 minutes and it was really nifty.
